Electroplating

electroplating-1

Electroplating was a process of the metal coating with other metal by using the electric current. The Electroplating process was used to improve the quality of the surface from the base that will be processed.

Several processes electroplating was used to increase the value from the surface of the material like: Gold Plating, Silver Plating, Platinum Plating, Rhodium Plating, and Brass Plating.

Electroplating the process like Copper Plating, Nickel Plating, Chrome Plating, Tin Plating, and Zinc Plating, was used to prevent rust from the base material, and so that his appearance looks better.

The types of Electroplating that was used to increase abrasion resistance like: Hard Chrome Plating, and Hard Nickel Plating.

There is also electroplating that was the combination from some metal as the coating, like : Brass Plating, Bronze Plating, and Imitation Gold Plating.

The process electroplating that rarely was used was:  Titanium Plating, Aluminium Plating, and Lead Plating.

Electroplating was the process of the production that used several chemicals that were dangerous like cyanide metal salt, hexavalent chromium and heavy metal. Therefore the waste from electroplating must be treatment, before being thrown away.
